The Fastest-Growing Accessible Jobs

Living with a disability, neurodivergence or chronic illness while still furthering your career can feel like a delicate balancing act.

Alongside finding an employer that fosters a kind and inclusive culture, finding one with a truly accessible workplace can be a challenge. As a result, working adjustments like the ability to work flexible hours or to work remotely from an office, are critical.

What you might not know is that some accessible jobs that offer flexible and remote work are actually growing, making them a great place to start your job search.

Here’s our lowdown on the fastest-growing accessible jobs, based on LinkedIn’s latest data on ‘Jobs on the Rise’ in the UK in 2025.

1. Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Availability of remote roles: 23%; Availability of hybrid roles: 52%

According to LinkedIn, the fastest growing job of the moment is the role of Artificial Intelligence Engineer.

With all the buzz around generative AI like ChatGPT over the last few years, this might not surprise you - but have you considered that the majority of these roles aren’t office-based? Over a fifth of Artificial Intelligence Engineer jobs are remote, while a further 52% are hybrid, making it a viable option if you need to work flexibly or remotely.

If you have a background in data science or computer engineering, or simply an interest in large language models (LLMs) and AI, could this be the career path for you?

2. Account Executive

Availability of remote roles: 20%; Availability of hybrid roles: 53%

Are you a ‘people person’ with a natural ability to network and build strong relationships? Job opportunities for Account Executives are rising in 2025, and once again, they’re often remote or hybrid.

Generally set within a Sales team, this is a role where you’d be managing client relationships, and pushing for renewals and referrals to hit revenue goals.

It’s a highly target-driven job, with commission bonuses often making up a large chunk of earnings, but it can be a lucrative trajectory if you’ve got the sales patter.

3. Fundraising Manager

Availability of remote roles: 17%; Availability of hybrid roles: 65%

The vast majority of jobs for Fundraising Managers are hybrid positions, while a strong 17% are fully remote.

Otherwise known as Philanthropy Managers, fundraising professionals work on behalf of organisations to plan and execute campaigns to drive donations. Day-to-day, the job may involve hosting events, networking with potential sponsors, or managing a team of fundraising volunteers.

To succeed, you’ll need great communications skills and to be highly organised. In return, you’ll get a role with high job satisfaction where you can make a positive impact on your chosen cause, while paying the bills.

4. Partnerships Development Manager

Availability of remote roles: 21%; Availability of hybrid roles: 58%

Often sitting within the Marketing team in a business, Partnerships Development Managers work to cultivate strategic relationships with other organisations, to help a business meet its goals.

This could be in the form of an exchange of services, or it could be a paid arrangement.

The best Partnerships Development Managers are creative in their approach to building new partners, thinking ‘outside of the box’ about what they can offer a business to add value and what they need in return. As well as being strategic and creative, strong project management, negotiation and communication skills are essential.

5. Interpreter

Availability of remote roles: 73%; Availability of hybrid roles: 8%

There’s no need to worry about working from home as an interpreter, with 73% of openings fully remote.

Otherwise known as translators, it’s a role with language skills at its heart. You could be helping people who speak different languages to communicate, or even translating spoken word into sign language (or vice versa) for an audience.

Don’t rule out cultural hubs or arts institutions too - museums and galleries often require interpreters for translation work when putting on exhibitions.

6. Chief Revenue Officer

Availability of remote roles: 10%; Availability of hybrid roles: 73%

For the finance pros out there, the final role on our list of growing accessible jobs is Chief Revenue Officer or CRO.

CROs are responsible for the bottom line of a business remaining healthy, so their focus is on growing revenue streams to improve financial performance.

While many CFOs start out working within a consultancy environment, others take the leap to CFO from a role as General Manager or Commercial Director.

Most roles are hybrid, while a tenth are remote, making this one of the most accessible C-Suite positions out there.

Beyond the top six..

Not seen something you like? Don’t be disheartened! While we’ve chosen to highlight the six fastest-growing accessible jobs, there are many more beyond this. Indeed, a quick search of a UK jobs website reveals over 50,000 fully remote roles currently available.

Another avenue is to search for jobs at employers who are part of the Disability Confident Scheme, as this is a good signal that an employer will be open to a conversation about adjustments at work.

Employers signed up to the scheme are committed to making adjustments and supporting disabled employees to help them thrive in the workplace. And critically, being part of the scheme means they should guarantee an interview for any disabled candidates who apply for a job, as long as they meet the minimum requirements for the opening - so it’s a great way to increase your chances of getting through to the interview stage.

You can find Disability Confident employers via this list showing who’s part of the scheme, or look for the Disability Confident badge on a job ad.

Our final piece of advice is to always ask the hiring team if there’s any flexibility regarding how a job can be carried out. While some jobs require you to be on-site full time, most ‘white collar’ roles can be completed remotely, and a conversation about the adjustments you need to thrive may well lead to an employer flexing their policies around your health and wellbeing.
