We welcome you to attend our ‘Disability Think Tank’, taking place via Zoom on 25th April, 12PM-1PM.
Our topic for this event is:
‘What makes inclusive work culture?'
What do disabled people look for in a company before they accept a job offer? What keeps us in work, not just working but thriving? In this Think Tank, we will discuss the work culture that disabled people need from businesses, and how businesses can begin to change their cultures towards inclusive and accessible practices.
We’ll explore this through:
Guided discussions in breakout rooms
Sharing insights, knowledge and lived experience
Creating action points to take away and put into practice as individuals and organisations
Our ticket prices are:
Free- Low income
£3- Job Seekers
£8- General Admission
£12- Employers and HR Professionals (We recommend this tier for business professionals and employers to enable us to fund the work we do at SIC, to read more about our mission, click here.)
This event is currently available for sponsorship! If your company is interested in marketing directly to our community and showing that your organisation takes action on disability and inclusion, please get in touch with us by emailing partnerships@sicofficial.co.uk.
We hope to see you there!

Paralympics Closing Ceremony
This year’s paralympics were spectacular! Here at SIC, we’ve been glued to the games - which event was your favourite?
The largest celebration of disabled sports professionals in the world, the Paralympics has a rich history. Formed from a plethora of disabled sporting communities dating as far back as the 1880s, the first Paralympic games was held in Rome, Italy, in 1960. The most recent Paralympic games in Rio 2016 attracted international audiences of over 4.1 billion people, the largest ever audience for a disabled sporting event.
Keep an eye on our social media in the aftermath of this years’ games, as we talk to several paralympians in various forms. Follow us @sicofficial.co.uk on Instagram and Twitter, and find us on LinkedIn here.
